What is a hybrid electric bike?
Hybrid electric bikes are favoured by many thanks to their broad ability and capability. Whether exploring canal paths and light trails at the weekend or using as a daily rider during your weekly commute, the hybrid ebike is a great "Best of both worlds" solution. The suspension and tyres are designed to handle rougher terrain without being uncomfortable on the road (like a full eMTB might).
With pedal assist technology, you can go further and faster than you would on a normal bike. Our range all come with electric motors to assist your pedalling and give you that extra power on hills.
Not all electric bikes are hybrid, with some models better at road or off roading than others. Haibike excel at off road, while Raleigh are more suited for both City and Countryside riding. QWIC's range is designed especially for the city.
Are Hybrid bikes good for long distances?
On the whole, yes! It really depends on the model and what sort of terrain you're heading onto, but because hybrid bikes are good on a number of surface and terrain types, they can comfortably take you a long distance across many surface types.
