The Evolution of Electric Transport
our mission
Thousands of short trips every day are made using noisy, loud and dirty vehicles. We want to raise awareness and adoption of new electric transport to improve cities to be cleaner and quieter.
In 2016, the average journey was just 17 miles per day. In 2018, the average speed of London traffic was just 7mph.
Electric scooters, bicycles, mopeds and motorbikes are all affordable solutions to this daily journey range, and offer a range of benefits which we shout about to reduce cars, reduce congestion and improve the makeup of our cities.
From folding electric bikes for commuting, to electric delivery mopeds or making the school run on an electric cargo bike, Urban eBikes delivers urban mobility to your door.
Our electric bike specialists are dedicated to providing a one-stop solution for urban mobility. Our team will inspect every new bike, prepare it with a pre-delivery inspection, register if needed, fit the number plate and delivery to your door or desk fully ready to ride from the minute it's delivered.
We offer an increasing range of electric bikes for sale, only ever offering a quality that we would be happy to live with ourselves.
About Urban eBikes
Who we are
Urban eBikes was born in 2014 out of three core principles. Focusing on Quality, Value and Urban Mobility, we bring you the highest quality, latest innovations from leading European transport companies.
We're a big believer in buying once and buying well. Cheap electric bikes simply do not last as long as higher quality ones and are more expensive after two years of ownership due to replacement parts.
Every brand we work with, stock and distribute has gone through a series of careful assessments for quality and suitability. Unlike competitors, we offer a refined, curated range that we are confident will deliver on these three principles.

How We Choose
Every supplier we contact, or contacts us, goes through a vetting process to ensure that they have prestige, precedent and offer the level of support we expect .
1. Location - Are the bikes made in Europe?
The rapid rise in battery and motor technology saw a huge influx of cheaply made, low quality bikes dumped on the UK and European market. We carefully select brands that ensure their bikes are made in Europe or have a quality precedent in Asia, and adhere to the highest build quality.
In the long run this results in a cheaper ownership, as there is less need to replace or repair parts.
2. How do the bikes perform in their native market?
Some of the brands we work with are new to the UK market, relatively unheard of to the mainstream press, media and fan sites. Yet, searching for reviews in their domestic country - often Germany or the Netherlands, much more competitive markets than ours, gives us a true indication of their quality. If you can win an award in Germany, we know that the bikes will be excellent for the UK.
3. How do the bikes perform in the urban environment?
Electric bikes and mopeds have the capacity to transform the landscape of our urban environments into a quieter, cleaner and more pleasant place. If you're in doubt - visit Copenhagen.
When assessing an electric bike range, we look at it from your point of view - that of the commuter and leisure rider.
How comfortable is it to ride to work every day? Will the battery last several days or a full week before needing charging? What anti-theft measures do the bike have? Is the battery easy to swap out or remove? Can you fit your shopping easily in the cargo box? Can it handle light off-road paths?
Not everyone needs aggressive looking off road machines. Finding the right balance of capability and comfort has ensured our customers have happier commutes and enjoyable weekends.
